Low Cost Furniture
We offer a range of furniture and appliances at a low cost to people in Gateshead, with further discounts for any Tyne and Wear household affected by furniture poverty. We take care of delivery too, and can usually deliver items to your home within a few days.
Preloved Furniture
Thanks to the generosity of local people and business, we have a range of pre-loved furniture at affordable prices. We welcome everyone to shop with us, and we have extra discounts in place for anyone affected by furniture poverty in Tyne and Wear. We have no strict eligibility criteria in place at Foundations to access the extra discount. If you're struggling to afford items elsewhere, for any reason, we can help and you will be given the discount.
Pre-loved Electrical Appliances
We have large and small appliances for every room, all PAT tested and checked they are in working order. Just like our pre-loved furniture, anyone can access the appliances, however those affected by furniture poverty receive extra discount. We have no strict eligibility criteria in place at Foundations to access our extra discount. If you're struggling to afford items elsewhere, for any reason, we can help.*
New Beds
We supply a range of new beds, mattresses and headboards. We use a quality supplier, and anyone can purchase our beds. Each sale helps us to raise funds for our cause of helping people affected by furniture poverty.
Facebook Marketplace
We also have furniture and appliances that anyone can buy on Facebook Marketplace. Each sale on Marketplace supports our charity, so we can continue to help local households experiencing hardship.

* We reserve the right to refuse a sale of pre-loved furniture or appliance(s) if we believe a beneficiary is planning to resell the items they buy. We also reserve the right to refuse a sale to someone not affected by furniture poverty at the non-discounted price if our stock on essential items is low. This is to ensure that we always have furniture available for people who are in hardship and crisis. Our essential items include beds, mattresses, wardrobes, drawers and sofas.
